Sun-Times Media Appoints Chief Financial Officer
Monday 14. December 2009 - Sun-Times Media Holdings, LLC, announced today the appointment of Brian Linscott as the Companys Senior Vice President, Finance, and Chief Financial Officer. He will report to Jeremy L. Halbreich, Sun-Times Medias Chief Executive Officer and Vice Chairman.
Mr. Linscott, 37, was a Managing Director with Huron Consulting Group. Mr. Linscott has more than 14 years of consulting experience with a variety of clients while at Arthur Andersen and Huron Consulting Group. He was the Restructuring Advisor to Sun-Times Medias predecessor company, working closely with the Companys management and legal counsel to successfully complete the sale of media assets to Sun-Times Media Holdings, LLC, in October, 2009. In addition to his media company experience, Mr. Linscott has worked in various other industries during his tenure at Huron, including transportation, automotive, manufacturing, consumer products and financial services.
“Brians extensive experience in finance and accounting across many industries and his detailed, in-depth work with Sun-Times Medias predecessor company will be extremely valuable to us in planning and managing our Companys business and in achieving the goals we have established for our readers, advertisers, employees and investors,” said Mr. Halbreich. “It is essential to balance and guide the pursuit of growth through the operations and expansion of our print and digital businesses with the practice of strong, sound financial management, and Brian is the best person to handle that task for Sun-Times Media.”

Mr. Linscott has a Bachelor of Science in Finance from the University of Illinois, Urbana.
