Chicago Tribune Media Group Names Vice President of Digital Development and Operations

Friday 11. December 2009 - Chicago Tribune Media Group announced today that Bill Adee has been named Vice President of Digital Development and Operations.

Adee will be responsible for digital product development, operations and strategy for Chicago Tribune Media Group’s digital efforts. He will continue to oversee chicagotribune.com, the Breaking News/Sports sites and ChicagoNow.

“Our portfolio of digital products and audience has expanded over the past year. We have aggressive plans in place to provide our clients with customized solutions to achieve their marketing objectives,” said Tony Hunter, Chicago Tribune Media Group President and CEO. “Bill is an innovative leader who can navigate the digital space, identify new customer solutions and monetize our growing online customer base.”

Adee joined the company in 2002 as Sports Editor, was named to oversee chicagotribune.com in 2006 and became Editor/Digital Media in 2008. Adee developed the Tribune’s presence in social media with the help of the “Colonel Tribune” persona and has led several successful initiatives, most recently launching ChicagoNow, a network of more than 140 local blogs.
