Kodak Signs Agreement with D&H Distributing to Expand Small-to-Medium Sized Business Market Presence
Tuesday 24. November 2009 - A new agreement between Kodaks document imaging business and D&H Distributing targets small-to-medium sized businesses (SMBs) looking to reduce paper workflows and increase digital capabilities. D&H chose the distributed capture portfolio of KODAK Scanners for ease-of-use, small-size format, high image quality and robust performance.
“We foresee document imaging as an up-and-coming area for SMBs, and were increasing our investment in this space for our resellers,” said Rob Eby, Vice President of Purchasing, D&H. “Kodaks feature-rich, smart document scanners create ways for us to help businesses conserve valuable assets and maintain profitability.”
D&H, a major North American computer products and consumer electronics distributor, adds KODAK Scanners to its existing lineup of KODAK Digital Cameras and KODAK All-In-One Printers. D&H will carry Kodaks entire distributed capture portfolio.
Kodaks distributed capture lineup include products such as the small-footprint KODAK Scan Station 500, a networked scanner lets the operator include a “voice attachment” feature with digital documents. Its flexible connectivity allows files to be sent through a network via email, printing and faxing. The KODAK SCANMATE i1120 Scanner, designed specifically for small businesses and home-based offices, enables a standard Smart Touch feature for easy one-button distribution and sharing. The KODAK s1220 Photo Scanning System, for behind-the-counter retail use, rapidly processes photo prints into digital image files for use in custom CDs, DVDs or online uploads, to create other digital photo products.
“Kodak looks forward to coupling its technology offerings with D&Hs SMB expertise, as well as its network of nationally-respected retail venues, such as Amazon.com,” said Ron Passantino, Director, National Distribution Sales, Document Imaging, Kodaks Business Solutions and Services Group. “Through easy-to-use, accessible and affordable technology options, SMBs increasingly adopt document capture and management systems. These solutions help improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, meet government regulations, better compete with the big guys, and increase customer satisfaction.”
