CGS Publishing Technologies Strengthens German Sales Organization
Monday 26. October 2009 - CGS Publishing Technologies International, global leader of color management solutions, digital proof systems and specially formulated media, announced today that Roland Hess (37) has been appointed Area Sales Manager Southern Germany, effective November 1st 2009.
In this position, he will report directly to Marcus Goerlitz, CGS Sales Director Europe. Trained as a prepress specialist, Hess has extensive knowledge of many years in digital prepress and printing systems, including head of the prepress department at KBA-Metronic AG. He joins CGS from Presstek, Inc. where he served as Area Sales Manager, responsible for the sales of digital offset presses, CTP systems and related consumables in Southern Germany. Roland and his family live near Wuerzburg, Germany.
Marcus Goerlitz, CGS Sales Director Europe, comments: “Contrary to many well-known manufacturers in our industry, CGS continues to be on an expansion course. In the present economic climate, digital production solutions are particularly in demand, allowing users to increase profitability and open up new business. Germany is one of the most important markets for CGS and the continued success of the ORIS product range, particularly in digital printing, made the expansion of the sales team necessary. I am particularly pleased that we were able to win Roland over. Apart from his outstanding technical knowledge, he has the necessary skills to sell digital systems. I am convinced that he will, together with our industry partners and dealers, continue to expand the already dominant market position of CGS.”
Trevor Haworth, CEO of CGS Publishing Technologies, adds: “CGS with the range of ORIS products is the worldwide leader of color management solutions, and strategic partner of the most renowned manufacturers of digital printing systems. To account for the continued growth, we have already significantly strengthened our sales and support organization in the US, Asia and Europe this year, and will continue to do so in the future. With his background, Roland Hess will make a significant contribution to also implement this strategy in Germany.”
