Méthode Portal Server makes its US debut with New York Post
Thursday 15. October 2009 - The New York Post relaunches Website with redesigned user experience using EidosMedias Web 2.0 content management platform.
The New York Post has transferred production of its news site, www.NYPOST.com, to EidosMedias advanced Web CMS, the Méthode Portal Server, it was announced today. The newly redesigned NYPOST.com site provides an engaging and streamlined user experience, while maintaining the lively graphical look and feel of the New York Post print edition.
“NYPOST.com involved us from the start in their plans for the redesign of the site. It was an exciting opportunity for us to balance the fundamental strengths of the Méthode Portal Server with the ambitious makeover of a major US news site,” said Steve Ball, EidosMedias marketing director for the US. “The powerful caching architecture of the Méthode Portal Server delivered the win-win of a highly dynamic site coupled with excellent performance and scalability.”
The new site also implements a powerful navigation system, updated on the fly by editorial staff to include the most relevant stories. The site navigation is common to all pages, allowing visitors to drill down easily to their area of interest and select from a wide range of multimedia content.

The Méthode platform, which replaces a variety of proprietary applications from different vendors, also now handles the NYPOST.com archives. Over half a million articles, images and blog posts have been transferred from various existing sources.
