Krones Lifecycle Service offers solutions for optimised maintenance

Tuesday 15. September 2009 - In its Lifecycle Service (LCS) Division, Krones has synergised its entire expertise relating to line availability, reliability and safety.

The right maintenance strategy focuses on the optimum ratio between direct and indirect costs, like expensive production downtimes. Experts estimate that the costs for neglected or faulty maintenance are about four times as high as the direct maintenance costs. However, there is no patent remedy for all a line’s components. Good maintenance planning contains an individual strategy for each component, determined using a risk assessment.

In its Lifecycle Service (LCS) Division, Krones AG, Neutraubling, Germany, has synergised its entire expertise relating to line availability, reliability and safety, making it the right partner to consult for every customised solution. The LCS product portfolio subsumes services, spares and handling parts, plus software packages, all of which can be combined with each other as can-do service support packages.

Thanks to its vast fund of specialised experience, Krones is able to offer long-term concepts as contractual arrangements. The spectrum here ranges from a simple support contract to a full-service agreement. This kind of cooperation provides lasting budgetary and planning stability, plus high levels of line availability, based on technical project planning, efficient spare parts management and specialised service personnel. Care and maintenance are thus no longer being assessed solely against cost criteria, but as a competitive factor as well.
