Mimaki USA Chooses HumanEyes

Monday 14. September 2009 - Mimaki USA has chosen to pair HumanEyes's newest Producer3D technology with its environmentally-friendly JFX-1631 large format UV LED Curable flatbed inkjet printer.

With the integration of HumanEyes’s latest software, the Mimaki technology now yields a higher quality direct to lens lenticular than was previously attainable. Its cool LED UV curable lamps reduce lens distortion, resulting in higher quality output.

HumanEyes will be featured in Mimaki PRINT 09 exhibit #4869.

Mimaki USA’s Francisco DeBrito says, “We are thrilled to be utilizing HumanEyes’s latest Producer3D invention. With the ability to produce higher resolution, the lamps no longer generate heat that can distort the lenticular lens, allowing us to take flatbed direct to lens inkjet to the next level.”

“Mimaki USA’s utilization of our new HumanEyes Producer3D technology gives its customers the ability to maximize the power and flexibility of their machines for a variety of applications,” says Jeff Miller, Sales Director for HumanEyes, North America. “Mimaki customers will benefit from the expanded service portfolio they can offer their own customers.”

Revolutionary Technologies: HumanEyes Producer3D and Mimaki JFX-1631
With HumanEyes Producer3D, it is now easy to create and print easily amazing lenticular printed projects with special effects: 3D, Flip, Zoom and Motion.

Producer3D maximizes printers’ productivity with an impressive array of new lenticular tools and industry first pre-press features that simplify the lenticular pre-print process, greatly improve productivity and provide superior print quality.

Powered by Mimaki’s cutting-edge technologies including UV LED curing, IMS (Intelligent Microstepping System), and UV ink application; the JFX-1631 provides for a new digital workflow that will bring the course of printing down new paths.

A maximum 1200 dpi resolution and variable dot technology (7 different dot sizes) help Mimaki yield near photographic image quality. Even printing in 4-color mode realizes a non-grainy print. With a minimum dot size of 6 pl, sharp edges of small texts and smooth skin tones can be created.
The JFX-1631, a highly specified UV LED curable flatbed inkjet printer, is also environmentally friendly. Its UV LEDs have a longer lifetime and save about 2/3 in energy in comparison with conventional UV printers employing metal halide lamps.
