New faces at manroland

Welcome to the manroland family! The new apprentices will start their careers at manroland’s plants in Offenbach, Augsburg, and Plauen.

Wednesday 02. September 2009 - 120 women and men begin apprenticeships in printing press production

At manroland, 120 young people will start their careers in 2009. The company provides over two dozen different qualified apprenticeships; a total of approximately 400 young people have a training contract with manroland.

In Plauen, 18 school graduates, including two BA students, have started their apprenticeships. Cooperating institutions are the Universities of Cooperative Education Plauen and Gera. In the Plamag plant in Plauen, 68 young professionals have an apprenticeship contract. Vocational training at all locations is mainly in commercial and technical careers.

In Offenbach, manroland welcomes 36 young women and men. Among them, eight have opted to pursue a dual course of studies. New apprenticeships available in Offenbach this year include foundry patternmaking. Apprentices can also study International Technical Sales Management at the University of Applied Sciences Aschaffenburg or complete an engineering-based degree in Print Science Technology at Darmstadt Technical University (TU Darmstadt).

In Augsburg, 66 new young colleagues join the team in September, including two engineering students from partner institutions who are currently completing apprenticeships in Industrial Mechanics parallel to their engineering studies in cooperation with University of Applied Sciences Ulm. Three students are enrolled in integrated Mechatronics degree programs. Parallel to their studies in mechatronics at the University of Applied Sciences Augsburg, they are receiving vocational training in this career field.

A career at manroland requires the ability to work independently, good teamwork and communication skills as well as basic knowledge of one’s future employer. Apprentices from other regional companies can also receive integrated training in our training centers and have the opportunity to complete their entire professional training or specific modules to suit the needs of their home company.
