Lidl Chooses RPC To Ensure Minavit Quality

The specialist skills of RPC’s sites at Market Rasen and Halstead have been combined to provide supermarket chain Lidl with a personalised container and cap for its Minavit vitamins.

Thursday 27. August 2009 - The specialist skills of RPC’s sites at Market Rasen and Halstead have been combined to provide supermarket chain Lidl with a personalised container and cap for its Minavit vitamins.

Manufactured for Lidl by healthcare specialists Natra Health, the Minavit range comprises twelve of the most popular vitamins amongst consumers, including cod liver oil, garlic tablets and Vitamin C.

Lidl wanted to improve the quality and performance of Minavit’s packaging and asked Natra Health to select a suitable manufacturing partner. With a successful supply relationship in place for many years, Natra Health knew that RPC Market Rasen’s capabilities provided the ideal match.

“Lidl wanted to optimise the seal between container and closure, and to achieve a greater consistency in the overall pack appearance,” explains Chris Keeble of Natra Health. “At the same time, it was vital to maintain the features of the existing pack, including an embossed Minavit logo.

“RPC was able to successfully meet all of these requirements,” he adds.

The container is extrusion blow moulded at RPC Market Rasen in white HDPE, while a variety of coloured tamper-evident PP caps with heat-induction sealing are supplied by RPC Halstead to match each product’s individual labelling.
