Stora Enso shares converted

Friday 14. August 2009 - During the 1-31 July 2009 conversion period there was one conversion and a total of 2 000 A shares were converted into R shares. The shares were recorded in the Finnish trade register today, 14 August 2009, and trading in the new R shares will start on 17 August 2009.

Each A share and each ten R shares carry one vote. The total amount of votes
