vjoon Presents New Austrian K4 Integration Partner
Wednesday 12. August 2009 - be-go.at at Viennas IFRA Expo 2009
In an auspicious move in time for this years IFRA Expo at Vienna, vjoon has joined forces with a new K4 integration partner for Austria, be-go.at GmbH. True to its company motto “be there – go forward,” be-go.at implements and maintains content publishing systems for publishing houses, prepress service providers, and corporate publishers. Bernd Gorbach, founder and Managing Director of the Vienna-based startup, is a seasoned player in the Austrian publishing arena. Formerly a partner at Expanic Stadelmann e.U., he has managed K4 projects and installations for over five years at Ahead Media (H.O.M.E., IQStyle), the business publisher economy, Red Bulletin, and Seitenblicke. His track record comprises many K4 and publishing success stories, including projects for the crossmedia service provider Gugler and the German-Austrian communication agency Schöller Corporate Communications. Publishers and technology partners can get to know be-go.at by visiting vjoon’s booth no. 410 in hall A at the IFRA Expo 2009 in Vienna from October 12 to 15.
Armed with a wide-range of experience gained at Springer Business Media Austria and other companies, Chief of Technology Alexander Ivan and Business Development Manager Matthias Flödl offer be-go.at’s customers highly specialized expertise in publishing and publishing technology. Launched in April of this year, the company’s business focus is on conventional and corporate publishers.
“Public relations departments and graphic design agencies often don’t know how easily they can employ modern technologies to simplify the production of their employee magazines and annual reports,” says Bernd Gorbach. He points out that in Austria corporate publishers are just beginning to discover how they can exploit publishing systems – for example, to integrate customers, translators, and printers; to protect confidential business data by assigning access rights; to collaborate across remote locations and produce publications using a single database. be-go.at GmbH also provides custom software solutions enabling automated content publishing and bringing the benefits of speed and security to publishers.
Cross-media at agencies and publishing houses
With vjoon K4, be-go.at GmbH offers Austrian publishers a publishing solution used by many notable PR agencies and companies, including KircherBurkhardt, Publicis, BASF, Beiersdorf, and Vattenfall Europe. All of them use it for print publications and some for online editions as well. “For us, the biggest benefit of vjoon K4 is that the K4 XML Exporter automatically exports print content to our website,” reports Christian Czaak, editor of economy magazine and long-standing K4 customer from Vienna. The investment in the K4 publishing system has already paid off for this relatively small business publishing house. “The decisive factor for us is that editors and authors can work in parallel, securely from anywhere in world, right there in the final layout,” adds Czaak.
The current version 6 of K4, which vjoon will showcase at Vienna’s IFRA Expo, makes cross-media interaction even easier. A state-of-the-art workflow engine takes dependencies of media channels into account. Individually configurable, it can prepare content for any number of output channels, be they websites, print publications, or mobile applications.
