New exhibitors sign up at IFRA Expo India 2009

Wednesday 12. August 2009 - "Meet the exhibitor" service offered and registrations started for the 3-day event at Chennai Trade & Convention Centre

Thanks to the resurgence and feel good factor in the Indian economy, IFRA Expo India 2009 has attracted new exhibitors to the show. Almost all the leading suppliers from India and abroad have confirmed their participation and given the current trends, it expects to add more exhibitors to the list. Already delegate registrations have started for the 3 day conference accompanying the IFRA Expo India at Chennai Trade & Convention Centre from 23 to 25 September 2009 (www.publishasia.com).

New exhibitors include ABB, Bosch-Rexroth, manroland, Mediawide Labs, Percept Printing and Wifag. Interestingly, there are several new enquiries from North American suppliers concerning participation in the expo. It goes to prove the success of India as a hub for newspaper publishing business and its potential for future business opportunities.

For the first time, WAN-IFRA offers “Meet the exhibitors”, a new service to visitors to help plan their visit to the expo. This year, IFRA India Conference is combined with Publish Asia, the flagship conference of IFRA Asia and the combined event is titled “Publish Asia 2009”. The conference will have four parallel sub-conferences, each aimed at a specific target group – CEOs, CTOs, Production Heads and Circulation Executives. Already leading newspapers in India have confirmed their participation. Internationally, some of the leading newspapers from South East Asia such as Strait Times, Singapore, Kompas, Indonesia, Bangkok Post, Utusan Melayu, Malaysia have promised participation in the conference, thus making Publish Asia/IFRA Expo India 2009 a truly Pan-Asian event.

The 8th Asia Media Awards will be presented at the gala awards dinner on 24 September 2009 at Le Royal Meridien, Chennai. Asia Media Awards, which over the last seven years held in various Asian countries, has grown to become the most prestigious recognition of outstanding work in the fields of Printing Quality, Design, Infographics, Photography and Online among media houses in Asia Pacific and Middle East.
