LUXE PACK MONACO 2009- DEDICATED SPACES: “INSPIRATION AND DECODING”

Monday 27. July 2009 - ? STRATE COLLEGE DESIGNERS ? Project of the students on the subject: "More magic, fewer materials"

In the context where we live, where the luxury sees itself confronted with the crisis, our subject put at the end of 2008, already had sights “trends in consumption”.
The end of “bling bling “, the return in the discretion, the adoption in a humble way to show its wealth directed naturally the designers students to a more authentic vision of the luxury.

The long?lasting approach and the ethics became both criteria which governed the initiative of the students.

With the brand “ICI” and its translations multilingual as so many origins, the students introduced an initiative in Max Havelard: make discover a fair
luxury, a translation to local and ancestral know how from noble materials connected to their respective culture, but also marked by a sense of the economy of the means and the materials which characterizes the former ethnic practices.

The booth is going to propose a journey on 5 continents where will be emphasized ethnic groups, crafts, materials. Every student will propose a product having a narrow relationship with an origin, to emphasize a local
crafts and material.

? Luxe Pack Trends Observer

The Luxe Pack Trends Observer is a helpful tool to analyze exhibitors’ innovations. Recognized experts of design and packaging identify through the exhibitors’ novelties of the year, tendencies of creation
packaging. Major trends emerge from product launches and the Observer will stage trends’ most representative products.
Driven by the experts, the workshop will help clarify and illustrate their conclusions, by a direct and interactive exchange with the auditors. The participation to this workshop will be made on registration.
Besides, some of these new products illustrate quite well these tendencies. They will be presented in shop windows, so that the visitors can decode them in a pragmatic way.

? « LIPS OF LUXURY » exclusive exhibition at Luxe Pack Monaco

presents a selection of lipsticks, from 1900 to nowadays, from the most sophisticated to the most design ones, tell the story of lipstick, of its red colour, of the art of making up lips, give the floors to the leaders?make?up men of major cosmetic brands…such is the comment of the book and exhibition “Lips of Luxury”, presented exclusively at Luxe Pack Monaco.

? Luxe Pack in Green

The sustainable development is no more a tendency; it is everywhere among products, innovations and techniques. According to varying degrees, and through specific solutions, each exhibitor has integrated the sustainable development approach to meet the expectations of luxury brands.
The dedicated space “Luxe Pack in Green” gathers the last sustainable innovations of the Luxe Pack exhibitors. Brands could find the supplier matching their creativity and sustainability expectations!

? PENTAWARDS

The winners of the Pentawards competition will be presented in Monaco. Founded by Brigitte and Jean? Jacques Evrard, this competition awards the best creations from packaging designers, manufacturers and brand owners from all over the world according to 44 categories gathered into 5 areas: Food ?Beverages ? Body ?Other Markets ?Luxury.
All those awarded products will be on display during the show.
