Tuesday 21. July 2009 - The latest BOBST Autoplaten arrival is a flatbed diecutter designed to deliver quality diecutting for corrugated board, nano & microflute, double wall, and litho-laminate.

A number of features contribute to making the BOBST VISIONCUT the best flat-bed diecutter in its category, not least of which are its highly competitive price and its 4,800 sheets per hour production speed. In terms of job changeovers, the VISIONCUT has carefully thought out ergonomics that ensure a particularly productive workflow, and which makes it possible to change jobs in less than 10 minutes. Especially robust construction ensures maximum uptime and the cherry on the cake is its precise cut-to-print register, which can be further enhanced when equipped with the Power Register system. The design of BOBST corrugated diecutters has been extensively rethought and this new line benefits from developments made when The Next Generation machines were introduced in 2008.

The VISIONCUT has been conceived to adapt to the most varied needs of its users. Whether it is a question of the materials to be handled, or the budget for the machine, one of its three versions will fit the brief. In its base configuration, VISIONCUT converts regular corrugated, F-flute, and double-wall. Beyond this, a version equipped with the new Smart Register, which brings dynamic register technology to users at an attractive price, reads the sheet edge or print marks, and delivers longitudinal correction with the use of a camera reading the underside of the sheet. The third version, and the most technologically advanced, offers all the dynamic location possibilities on offer from BOBST’s Power Register system. In addition to the advantages already mentioned, this version delivers the correction of transverse register and skewing, achieved using a top reading camera.

The materials that can be converted range from microflute to double-wall corrugated (0,75mm to 9mm), along with litho-laminates, and can be up to a maximum sheet format of 1600 x 1100mm. As well as being capable of delivering bundles of up to 200mm in height, an alternative solution sees pile delivery, of up to 1200 mm in height, inside the machine delivery station. This solution is ideal for users who want to form a pile directly inside the delivery station and so save on floor space.

The VISIONCUT platen press represents the best of SwissTechnology, a label to which BOBST has been faithful for decades with its professionalism, its continuous research and development, and its determination to produce machines that are precise, reliable, and of incomparable durability. Seen over the long term, BOBST products are an unbeatable investment.
