Aleyant Systems Announces Availability of Pressero Web-to-Print and Business Integration Services

Monday 20. July 2009 - Pressero Addresses Maturing Web-to-Print Market with Affordable Implementation, Sophisticated Integration with Printer and Customer Business Systems

Aleyant Systems, a leading provider of advanced web-based platforms for the graphic communications industry, today announced the launch of Pressero, a turnkey web-to-print solution that allows printers to provide their customers with a powerful set of branded online tools for placing and managing orders.

“Aleyant was founded in 2005, but the principals have been developing and marketing web-to-print solutions since the 1990’s,” said Greg Salzman, President. “With Pressero, we are building on that significant experience and expertise to bring a new level of affordability and ease of use to the web-to-print market.”

Pressero is delivered in a hosted model at an affordable price of $995 for the basic system, with an ongoing maintenance fee of $295 per month. A basic implementation includes full use of the robust Pressero system and allows printers to quickly deploy an easy-to-use feature-rich web-based customer interface. Systems add-ons include custom interfaces and integration with workflow and other business systems. In addition, Adobe PDF Job Ready, an easy-to-use file/print solution for ad hoc work, can be added for a nominal fee.

Pressero includes eDocBuilder, an easy-to-use, template based variable data application that allows customers to quickly and easily customize, proof, and approve variable data documents, including business cards, brochures and more, directly from a web browser, sending an imposed press-ready PDF file to the print service provider when the order is placed. This minimizes manual intervention and speeds variable data jobs to production using an industry-standard PDF workflow. The intuitive interface allows fast order entry and its robust scripting language enables a variety of intelligent responses based on user input.

“Implementing Pressero has made it possible for us to secure our relationship with two large national companies that use Pressero for all of their business cards and stationery,” said Michael Roesch, President of Stuyvesant Press, “and we are working on others as well. In one case, Pressero is integrated with the customer’s Oracle procurement system using cXML. We are also in the process of integrating Pressero with our print MIS system which will improve our internal efficiencies and allow the client to see the status of their orders. Aleyant has been terrific to work with from an integration perspective and has helped us differentiate ourselves in a tough market.”

Online printing company Mimeo has chosen to implement eDocBuilder technology from Pressero in its Marketplace online storefront to enable customers to easily version materials. Chuck Gehman, Vice President of Product Platforms for Mimeo said, “We were delighted with Aleyant’s collaborative work process as we executed against requirements. We were able to include some capabilities that are proprietary to Mimeo while still taking advantage of Aleyant’s ongoing product development with a common code base. Aleyant was efficient and easy to work with, quickly understanding and implementing against our requirements without any rework. Using the eDocBuilder technology in Mimeo Marketplace VDP makes our offering reliable, scalable, and much more affordable and functional than many other variable data offerings in the market.”

eDocBuilder integrates seamlessly into Mimeo’s platform, so the company can quickly deliver solutions allowing customers to deploy branded templated materials that can easily be customized by authorized users. This leaves control of brand integrity and vital content in the hands of content owners yet allows those who will actually be using the documents to easily customize them in a self-serve model.

PrinterOrder.com, Aleyant’s long-standing web-to-print offering that has primarily been marketed and sold through distribution partners, will continue to be enhanced and supported by Aleyant through its channel partners. “There is significant ongoing interest in PrinterOrder.com on the part of our distribution partners,” added Salzman, “including arrangements with distributors in the U.S., Brazil and Spain. The major differentiator between Pressero and PrinterOrder.com is the set of integration services Aleyant will be offering as printers require an increased level of sophistication and integration with their workflow systems, including Print MIS.”

Both Pressero and eDocBuilder are available immediately. For more information, visit www.Pressero.com or call 800-571-2138. Pressero and eDocBuilder will also be on display at Print 09 in Booth 6654. Print 09 is North America’s largest printing trade show, scheduled for September 11 to 16, 2009, at Chicago’s McCormick Place.
