Lithotec expands its business with HP Indigo digital print technology
Wednesday 08. July 2009 - HP announced today that Lithotec, of Eupen (Belgium) has invested in the HP Indigo press 5500 to expand its business and develop a new range of digital printing services.
Established in 1991, Lithotec specialised in traditional offset printing before moving to digital printing a few years later to enlarge its product offering. In 2003, Lithotec invested in the HP Indigo press 3000 before replacing it by the HP Indigo press 5500 earlier this year.
“With the print market evolving with more and more requests for short-run jobs, it became essential for Lithotec to extend its range of applications while offering the same prices. That’s why we decided to invest in the HP Indigo press 5500,” said Jean-Michel Toudy, manager, Lithotec.
Today, Lithotec is creating leaflets, brochures, cataloguess and point of sale advertising while improving productivity. Thanks to the versatility of the HP Indigo press 5500, the company is now also able to produce short-run folding carton jobs for communication agencies looking for an end product to show to its clients to demonstrate new capabilities.
