New partnerships driving channel growth for Xerox

Saturday 04. July 2009 - Xerox partners with Aspen Solutions and Portrayal to increase reach of office products and services

Xerox today announced significant channel growth in the form of two new partnerships with resellers of office equipment and services. Bristol-based Portrayal Limited has been appointed an official Xerox reseller, while Aspen Solutions Ltd in Scotland has become an official Xerox concessionaire.

Aspen Solutions – New Xerox concessionaire

Established in 1998, Cumbernauld based Aspen Solutions Ltd, is a leading IT solutions and services supplier in South East Scotland.

Vincent Harkins, managing director for Aspen explains, “Aspen has built strong relationships in the printing solutions business, and we believe that partnering with Xerox who provide a one stop shop will enable us to achieve our ambition to be one of Scotland’s leading IT solutions companies.”

As a new Xerox mono brand dealer, Aspen also benefits from standardisation across its product portfolio, allowing leverage of hardware and maintenance costs. In addition, being a mono branded dealer provides focus for the sales team and engineering staff.

Portrayal – New Xerox reseller

Operating for 20 years, Portrayal Ltd, based in Bristol, is one of the largest truly independent suppliers of office equipment and document management solutions to both the corporate and local authority markets in the South West of England. The new partnership with Xerox helps enhance Portrayal’s growth into the colour market as well as its ability to offer a wider range of solutions. Significantly, Portrayal becomes the first authorised service provider for Xerox A3 multifunction devices (MFD) in the UK.

Portrayal has also developed its own bespoke ‘paperpath’ technology focused on the web-based abilities of MFDs allowing for integration into applications and the provision of unique solutions at an affordable price. Such solutions include Portrayal’s ‘p@per p@th’, an all-in-one solution for business processes. Portrayal is eager to start developing such solutions using Xerox MFDs.

Gary Tozer, sales director for Portrayal said, “The opportunity of partnering with the number one name in office technology is a huge opportunity for Portrayal. It allows us to enter into new market places and build our business. For Xerox we can bring the brand back to people’s attention in the south west area and create a stream of new business.”

Commenting on both new partnerships, Mark Duffelen, director and general manager, Office Group, Xerox UK commented, “The relationship Xerox has with both Portrayal and Aspen will be highly beneficial. Both resellers are driven by customer service and share the same goal of being the number one supplier of our technology in their respective geographies. It’s our aim to offer a range of technology and solutions that enable our partners to bring value to their customers.”
