IDI Independent Distributors Inc. taps into Heilers supplier network for perfect product data
Thursday 18. June 2009 - IDI, a leading network of Industrial distributors, chose Heilers Premium Supply Network (PSN) for complete content management. With PSN services Heiler Software ensures that IDI will maintain up-to-date product information for all of their members.
IDI provides services to its members allowing local owner-managed distributors across Canada to unite and compete with the multi-branch, multi-national competitors. A key element to this network is the availability of product information to distributor members. Heiler Software will take on the task of suppler adoption and provide on-demand updates, validated and delivered in IDIs format for easy processing into IDIs master database.
“Heiler has brought years of experience in supplier adoption and maintains a professional team dedicated to the job. We were impressed with the services offered,” says Scott Bebenek, President at IDI, explaining “The Heiler PSN saves us considerable time and costs, while helping improve the quality of data for other services provided to members.”
“It is a huge effort for distributors to acquire, cleanse and manage data from suppliers on an ongoing basis. The PSN takes that effort away from distributors and retailers and is the leading network for the exchange of data within the industrial, HVAC, Electrical, consumer goods and other commodities” says Greg Wong, CEO of Heiler Software Corporation. “The addition of IDI Independent Distributors will continue to strengthen Heilers leadership in the content management space”.
Heilers network consists of 6500 suppliers and approximately 13 million products and growing. With a detailed supplier adoption process, added data cleansing and enrichment services and a full time team, Heiler can ensure that data is delivered quickly, up-to-date and in perfect quality and minimal cost. IDI can now focus efforts in services that enable their network of distributors to increase market shares through various channels such as an online mall and print catalogs while leaving tactical applications to Heiler.
