Yellow Pages Group Announces Retirement of Jean-Pascal Lion and Appointment of Stephane Marceau as Chief Marketing Officer

Monday 08. June 2009 - Yellow Pages Group (YPG) today announced that Jean-Pascal Lion, Vice President, Marketing, will retire as of July 31, 2009. Concurrent with this departure, Stephane Marceau is appointed as YPG's Chief Marketing Officer, effective at that time.

“The last six years at Yellow Pages Group have been extremely stimulating, and I’m now leaving fully satisfied that we are a global leader in our industry. I will greatly miss the team and the company but it’s time for me to move to a new chapter in my life”, said Jean-Pascal Lion.

“Jean-Pascal played a key role in developing our online directories and positioning us into the digital world”, said Marc P. Tellier, President and Chief Executive Officer. “He has earned a great reputation in the online industry and he can be proud of his accomplishments. There is no doubt he will be missed. We will ensure a smooth transition to Stephane who we are convinced will be a great CMO for Yellow Pages Group”, added Tellier.

Lion joined YPG in 2002. He headed the team which made YellowPages.caTM the number one online directory in Canada. Mr. Lion was previously Vice President, Local Markets at Sympatico-Lycos Inc.

Marceau has been building and growing communications businesses for over 15 years. Mr. Marceau is currently co-founder and CEO of Theralive, a company specialized in mobile health applications and services. He previously co-founded and was CEO of Mobivox, a global mobile platform. He served as Vice President with Bell Canada for over five years where he built and grew several new business lines, including Bell Interactive, the company’s e-commerce group. Mr. Marceau also sits on the board of several web 2.0 startups. He holds a Master’s degree in Management of Technology from the University of Waterloo and a bachelor’s degree in Finance from the Universite du Quebec a Montreal.
