Changes to Global Coding Legislation
Friday 29. May 2009 - As you may be aware, Turkey, France, EFPIA, Serbia, California to name a few, are all changing packaging requirements through increased traceability legislation and the utilisation of 2D barcodes, serialised numbers and increased levels of human readable information.
These changes come into effect from late 2009 in Turkey, 2010 in France and on a rolling basis thereafter. It is forecast that up to 80% of installed coding devices within the Pharmaceutical and Healthcare sector, required to print this information will be redundant at the speed and quality levels required.
Domino offers a range of solutions specific to the pharmaceutical, medical devices, wound care, vision care, veterinary and consumer healthcare industries. Dominos pharmaceutical specialists are trained to understand the specific needs of the industry and identify the coding and traceability solutions required for each customer. Both ink jet and laser products can be supplied with validation packs for GAMP and 21-CFR part 11 compliance.
Domino solutions are fully upgradeable to allow the use of RFID or serialised product tracking.
Domino products have been specifically developed to offer:

Main benefits
The Domino G-Series range of Thermal Ink Jet printers offers the following benefits:
Unique multi substrate, fast drying ink
Domino is the only supplier to offer multi substrate, fast drying inks, expanding the range of compatible print materials.
This ability to switch quickly between water and ethanol based inks means G-Series printers offer a single solution for printing onto porous and non porous surfaces.
High resolution printing
High definition machine readable codes for enhanced traceability, such as data matrix
High speed multi line capability
Easy maintenance
Simple and clean cartridge fluid replacement
Cartridge contains printhead and ink supply
New printhead with each consumable change
Simple to use, minimum operator training required
Flexibility
Ability to run multiple heads from a single controller
Networkable with built in Ethernet port
More uptime with simple on / off power
Offline message management reduces product changeover times
