Wednesday 27. May 2009 - PaperCo advised Kall Kwik franchisees to "think differently to thrive in the downturn". The paper merchant group’s National Accounts team pointed out the new opportunities that their wide format equipment and materials could offer and also urged the businesses to work with PaperCo to achieve environmental accreditations to open up new markets.

PaperCo was the lead sponsor of the Independent Kall Kwik Franchise Owners’ Association’s first ever national conference in Solihull, a conference for franchisees organised by franchisees. Other sponsors included Accura, Ashton Graham, Konica Minolta, Perfect Colours and Whitman Gowdridge.

The theme of the conference was “Getting together to work through this together”. Suppliers gave presentations looking at ways of surviving in a downturn while the franchisees themselves provided input on marketing self-help, e-mail marketing and locking in clients.

Mike Rust, National Accounts Director of PaperCo, says: “Our relationship with Kall Kwik franchisees dates back many years and we were supplier of the year for six consecutive years. We understand the need for innovation and enterprise in this type of response- and service-driven business and we value our relationship with these entrepreneurial operations. This first conference was deemed a great success by delegates and by the sponsoring suppliers.”

PaperCo also sponsored the Independent Prontaprint Franchisees’ Association Conference earlier in the year.
