The New York Times Launches International Weekly Edition In Slovenia
Monday 25. May 2009 - The New York Times announced today the launch of The New York Times international weekly in Delo in Slovenia. The section, which will be published in English, joins a global network of newspapers that carry the news supplement, first published in 2002.
The international weekly retains the layout and typography of The New York Times and includes news coverage, features, commentary, color photos and graphics about the United States , world affairs, business, culture and social trends. It is prepared in New York by a team of editors and designers from The New York Times News Service.

Delo was first published in 1959 by the Slovenski Poro?evalec publishing company. In 2005 Delo took over its own printing and distribution operations. Today, Delo publishes two leading papers in Slovenia , Delo and Slovenske Novice, as well as Nedelo, the country’s sole Sunday newspaper, Graficar, a specialist magazine, and eight regular newspaper supplements. The company also oversees the newspaper’s online operation, DELO.si.
The New York Times News Service provides more than 250 articles daily from all sections of The New York Times to more than 600 news organizations in 50 countries. The News Service also maintains The New York Times Photo and Graphics Service.
