Drytac adds eco-friendly display board edge finishing solutions
Friday 22. May 2009 - Drytac has added natural edging materials for use with its new DES-4Foam Edge Finishing System. The new finishes include a natural maple wood veneer and a kraft paper finish.
The natural maple finish wood veneer is both compostable and recyclable and can be stained, painted or coated with a clear acrylic finish.
The kraft paper finish is made of two layers of paper thermally fused together to give it the rigidity needed to apply it to a variety of display boards. This edging can also be painted with low VOC paint if desired.
“With the growing use of eco-friendly boards like X-Board by Xanita, there was a lot of requests for edging materials that do not take away from the eco-friendliness and natural look of these types of display boards,” says Jerry Hill, Drytacs vice president of sales and marketing.
The wood veneer and kraft paper edging materials complement a line of Drytac edge materials for the DES-4Foam Edge Finishing System that are stocked in a wide variety of colors and in widths ranging from 3/8-inch to 1 ¾-inches.
