Stora Enso appoints Ulla Paajanen-Sainio Head of Investor Relations

Wednesday 20. May 2009 - Stora Enso has appointed Ulla Paajanen-Sainio (46), Master of Arts and Master of Business Administration, as the new Head of Investor Relations effective immediately.

Ulla Paajanen-Sainio is currently VP, Investor Relations and FinancialCommunications, at Stora Enso. She has been with the company for nearly sevenyears, being mainly responsible for investor relations activities in the NordicRegion and also managing Stora Enso’s Financial Communications. Before joiningStora Enso, she worked in leading investor relations and communicationspositions in the IT and electronics sectors.

To improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness, the investor relations function isnow based in Helsinki. Until today, the activities were split between theHelsinki and London offices. Ulla Paajanen-Sainio succeeds Keith B Russell, SVP,Investor Relations, who has been heading the function from the Group’s Londonoffice and who will leave Stora Enso at the end of May 2009 to pursue otheropportunities.
