Monday 18. May 2009 - Kodak’s Vic Stalam and Dr. John Anderson will share their perspectives on the power of packaging and business opportunities in this growing market at the Institute of Packaging Professionals (IoPP) Packaging Summit ’09, May 19-20 at the Hyatt Regency O’Hare in Rosemont, IL.

Stalam, Director and Vice President of Global Key Accounts and Channel Management, Worldwide Sales and Customer Operations will present a keynote address “Kodak’s Business Vision for Packaging” on May 20 at 8:30 a.m. Anderson, Global Product Marketing Manager, Flexo will present “Squeezing Flexo Costs and Adding Performance for Security Printing” on May 20 at 2:40 p.m.

“Packaging sends a powerful message about a company’s brand and is therefore an essential part of every brand owners’ sales and marketing strategy,” said Stalam. “Kodak’s package printing technology offers exceptional print quality as well as cost efficiencies, and allows brand owners to design packaging for maximum shelf impact and brand equity.”

The core of Kodak’s offerings for the packaging market is the KODAK FLEXCEL NX Digital Flexographic System, which was recently named the sole recipient of the 2009 Flexographic Technical Association (FTA) Technical Innovation Award. It also received the 2008 PIA/GATF InterTech Technology Award and the Flexographic Pre-Press Platemakers Association (FPPA) Technology Innovator of the Year Award. The FLEXCEL NX System provides previously unachievable offset class, gravure quality printing on a wide variety of substrates—including paper, flexible film, foil, paperboard, and label stock. It also helps ensure stability and repeatability, both in prepress and on press.

The IoPP Packaging Summit ’09 addresses critical topics in today’s economic environment, including how packaging professionals can get the most value for their packaging dollars and how effective packaging can meet business needs.
