SUCCESSFUL NEW VENTURE FOR LABELEXPO GLOBAL SERIES IN THE MIDDLE EAST

Monday 04. May 2009 - Label Summit Middle East was an exciting new development for the Gulf Print and Gulf Pack event. In response to a buoyant market and the wealth of opportunity developing in the region, the organizers of Gulf Print and Gulf Pack have joined forces with the labeling experts in their parent company Tarsus who run the Labelexpo series of events, to bring together this new section of the show.

A strong combination of exhibiting on the floor, in the Label Summit pavilion, and conference streams in the Thought Leadership Conference made the Label Summit Middle East an enormous success.
The best attended conference of the event was the first time that the Labelexpo brand has made an appearance in the Middle East. A cross-section of key Middle-Eastern industry leaders from countries such as North Africa, Kenya, Iran, UAE, India, Saudi Arabia, Kazakhstan, Morocco and Egypt, attended this extremely well received half day, undoubtedly making it one of the highlights of the four day exhibition.
Interactive panel sessions with converters and printers proved to be extremely educational for the delegates who were all genuinely keen to learn about the developments and growth in this exciting time of the market. The expansion and potential for all companies involved within the Middle East labeling market is plentiful and this event did not disappoint expectations. With an economy driven by the growth in retail, pharmaceutical, logistics, and food and beverage, the implications for the industry are clear.
Commenting of the first Label Summit Middle East, Roger Pellow, Labelexpo Managing Director, said: “I am very satisfied with Labelexpo’s first venture into the Middle East. Dubai has proved to be the perfect location for labeling businesses in this area of the world to gather. With such a young population in the country there are huge opportunities for the labeling market to develop successfully and this summit enabled us to reach a wider part of the world that we don’t normally have access to. We cannot wait to be back in 2011 with an even bigger and better area at this successful exhibition.”
