KODAK Digital Press Opens Door to Personalization and New Revenue Opportunities for Interprovincial Group

With plans to develop full variable data personalized marketing campaigns, Interprovincial Group selected KODAK Solutions for its entry into digital printing. The company decided the KODAK NEXPRESS S2500 Digital Production Color Press was an ideal fit, and the KODAK NEXPRESS Fifth Imaging Unit Solutions played a key role in the company’s purchase decision.

KODAK Fifth Imaging Unit Solutions allow users to add a wide array of unique features inline during the printing process. For example, the KODAK NEXPRESS Intelligent Dimensional Coating Solution and KODAK NEXPRESS Dimensional Clear Dry Ink combine to create 3D raised printing that enables tactile effects, so that images have a dimensional feel that mimics the surface of the items in the image. Furthermore, users can add value to the final print product with clear coating, watermarking, glossing, protection coating, and MICR.

The KODAK NEXPRESS S2500 Digital Production Color Press offers five-color digital printing capability at a speed of 2,500 A3 sheets per hour, or 83 A4/letter images per minute. Bringing a new level of modularity to the digital production color market, the S2500 offers flexible front-end options, input and output accessories, unique Fifth Imaging Unit capabilities, and onsite upgradeability. The NEXPRESS S2500 Press usespress profiling and standard inks to match up to 82 percent of the PANTONE spot color gamut with no custom mixing required. These offerings enable print providers to deliver unique applications, plus drive more pages per shift and more profit per page to grow their businesses. Output options support multiple high-capacity deliveries, as well as an inline or near-line booklet maker. A near-line KODAK NEXPRESS Glossing Unit can add a high-gloss finish for achieving higher impact from images and also provides additional surface protection.
