AUTO BILD MOTORSPORT becomes Europe largest motorsports magazine
Friday 17. April 2009 - As a "magazine in a magazine", AUTO BILD MOTORSPORT will appear weekly in AUTO BILD from May 2009
Punctually at the start of the German Touring Car Masters (DTM) season, the specialist motorsports magazine AUTO BILD MOTORSPORT will be published by Axel Springer Auto Verlag from 15 May 2009 initially as a “magazine in a magazine” in the whole retail sale circulation of Europes biggest car magazine AUTO BILD. With this change of concept, the title is positioning itself as the publication with the highest circulation in Europe on motoring subjects.
The editorship of the previously biweekly magazine is now able to report weekly and thereby even more topically for its readers on results, backgrounds and news from the scene of the national and international race sport series. AUTO BILD MOTORSPORT will continue to be produced by the existing editorial office with its head office in Schwabach near Nuremberg. Olaf Schilling is editor-in-chief.
“With our change of concept we are setting an aggressive example for motorsports and offering even more topicality to our readers. For manufacturers, sponsors and advertisers, we are the clear market leader in this segment in future and with our excellent performance characteristics an even more attractive media partner”, says Dr. Hans Hamer, publishing director of Automobiles and Sport at Axel Springer.
With a circulation of around 400,000, AUTO BILD MOTORSPORT is placed in future as an independent product in the centre of AUTO BILD. The marketing will be carried out as previously by B&MS Marketing GmbH, Schwabach.
