Friday 27. March 2009 - Newman Labelling Systems, a leading manufacturer of labelling systems with models designed specifically for the pharmaceutical industry, will be launching a new Faulty Label Removal (FLR) System at this years ACHEMA in Frankfurt, 11-15th May.

Designed for use with Newman’s full range of pharmaceutical standard labelling systems, the FLR System provides a reliable and efficient means of removing faulty labels prior to application to a container. The FLR System will remove a faulty label as controlled by the labelling system PLC. Should the system not receive “good signals” from the scanning devices in use, the faulty label is securely removed from the label web and directly transferred to a spooled paper roll for batch reconciliation and inspection.

The Newman FLR is available as an optional extra on Newman Labelling systems. It can handle both paper and clear labels and can be validated at production speeds up to 550 C.P.M., with a full physical label reconciliation capability.

The FLR System will be demonstrated at ACHEMA on one of Newman’s latest labelling models, the S350. The S350 is a fully automatic, versatile labelling system for the application of both paper and clear plastic labels to cylindrical products in glass, plastic, metal and composite materials. It has been designed to operate 24/7 at a true production rate of up to 300 containers per minute with high levels of efficiency according to DIN 8743. The S350 incorporates the latest data-bus technology to simplify the integration of security and ancillary devices and comes with a range of features as standard.

As you would expect from Newman, the S350 is supplied with a full validation documentation and implementation package.

To see the FLR System in action on the S350, as well as find out about Newman Labelling Systems’ full range of purpose built systems that are fully compliant with FDA cGMP requirements, please visit Newman’s stand at L12, Hall 3.1
