Keith Porter promoted within Goss International UK Commercial Service department

Keith Porter has been appointed technical supervisor for Goss International’s UK Commercial Service department.

Wednesday 18. March 2009 - Keith Porter has been appointed technical supervisor for Goss International's UK Commercial Service department. Formerly a field engineer, Porter's new position involves providing technical advice and information to customers, and coordinating office support for field service engineers.

Porter has extensive experience with web presses, starting his career 24 years ago as an apprentice engineer working on Goss branded presses at Preston, Lancashire. Since then, he has had various roles in the fields of service and installation with Goss International and for nine years at Heidelberg Web Systems.

“Keith’s hands-on experience makes him a valuable asset to both our customers and our engineers on site,” says Peter Banks, customer service manager for Goss International. “His technical expertise will ensure service interventions are delivered to our own high standards and meet every aspect of a customer’s requirements.”

Porter adds, “I’m looking forward to the challenge of my new role, and it’s great to be able to have regular contact with so many of our customers. Knowing we can expertly advise and quickly deliver genuine, guaranteed parts to a customer 24/7 ensures that downtime or disruption is minimal and production schedules can be maintained. The satisfaction in knowing that a press is back up and running again after an intervention is definitely the best part of the job.”
