Staples, Inc. Announces First Quarter 2009 Cash Dividend

Staples, Inc. (Nasdaq: SPLS) announced today that its Board of Directors has declared a quarterly cash dividend on Staples, Inc. common stock of $0.0825 per share. The dividend is payable on April 16, 2009, to shareholders of record on March 27, 2009. On an annualized basis, the quarterly dividend is equal to the $0.33 per share annual cash dividend that the company paid in 2008.
