Supervisory Board appoints new Chief Financial and Operating Officer: Lothar Lanz succeeds Steffen Naumann
Tuesday 10. March 2009 - The Supervisory Board of Axel Springer AG today appointed Lothar Lanz, 60, as the new Chief Financial and Operating Officer, effective as of May 1, 2009. He succeeds Steffen Naumann, 42, who has been a member of the Management Board since November 2001.
The Supervisory Board has agreed with Steffen Naumann not to extend the contract again. Steffen Naumann will pass on the responsibility as Chief Financial and Chief Operating Officer to his successor after the Annual General Meeting as of May 1, 2009.
Until June 2008, Lothar Lanz was Chief Financial Officer of ProSiebenSat.1 Media AG. He is currently member of the Management Board of the email marketing service provider E-Circle in Munich.
