Eastman Increases OXO Alcohols Prices on April 1

Tuesday 10. March 2009 - Eastman Chemical Company is increasing prices on the following products effective April 1, or as contracts allow. These increases are due to elevated operating costs, particularly in raw materials, energy and freight.

EASTMAN 2-Ethylhexanol: Off-list price increase of $US 0.05 /lb ($US 0.11/kg) in North America and Latin America.

EASTMAN n-Butyl Alcohol: Off-list price increase of $US 0.05 /lb ($US 0.11/kg) in North America and Latin America.

EASTMAN Isobutyl Alcohol: Off-list price increase of $US 0.05 /lb ($US 0.11/kg) in North America and Latin America.

EASTMAN 2-Ethylhexanoic Acid: Off-list price increase of $US 0.05 /lb ($US 0.11/kg) in North America.

EASTMAN Propionic Acid, All Grades: Off-list price increase of $US 0.03 /lb ($US 0.066/kg) in North America.
