ProImage launches new Mobile platform
Wednesday 04. March 2009 - Increases production efficiency and productivity by providing workflow information to users where, and when, they need it.
ProImage is to launch a powerful mobile workflow application at the NAAs mediaXchange Expo and Conference in Las Vegas (March 9-11).
NewsWay Mobile provides a real-time view of all devices within the workflow, the status of each device, and the ability to amend the workflow – with the added benefit of being able to proof and approve an ad or a page whilst on the move.
“NewsWay Mobile increases efficiency by bringing information to users when, and where they need it, rather than for very busy people having to be back at their desk before they can react to urgent production issues or make workflow changes,” says Rick Shafranek, VP of sales, ProImage America. “Its also good to know when everything is running smoothly.”
The softwares advanced functionality, which is hidden behind a simple and elegant user interface, allows the viewing of page and plate history, advertisement status, and production progress. It notifies the user if errors are detected and, through its built-in security, allows the remote turning of devices and resources on and off.
NewsWay Mobile shows the number of sections and pages in each section, and their progress, plus the number of books, and forms used for printing each book, and their progress. It also includes the ability to send or receive messages from other NewsWay users within the enterprise.
The software is currently aimed at the Apple iPhone and other mobile devices with a similar sized screen, and is available for delivery now.
