REXAM ANNOUNCES 5TH ANNUAL FOAM FORMULATION CHALLENGE
Wednesday 11. February 2009 - and invites entries for products for babies
WorldPressOnline First Call – The 5th Annual Rexam Foam Formulation Challenge invites entries for product applications – with special appeal for babies – that can be dispensed with the firms EZi one-touch mechanical foamer.
Open to manufacturers, contract packagers, distributors and formulators, the Rexam Foam Formulation Challenge awards a corporate prize of 10,000. Formulations will be evaluated by an international jury of industry experts.
“In the U.S., and around the world, the market for personal care products for infants continues to grow,” said Casper Kleiman, Product Manager – Foam, Rexam Personal Care. “Segment acceleration is helped by elevated birthrates for women aged 30+ with higher disposable incomes.”
According to Kleiman, parents continue to seek personal care products for babies that deliver the product gently and efficiently, provide value and are easy to use. Rexams patent-protected EZi Foamer is thoughtfully designed for effortless, one-hand operation needed by mothers bathing their active little ones. One squeeze of the EZi bottle creates instant, creamy, rich, soothing foam that cleanses well and rinses quickly.
Further, the EZi Foamer is dripless, water-resistant and efficient, enhancing the consumer appeal of high-output bath and shower products such as body washes, shampoos and soaps.
“Our EZi Foamer is another example of how Rexam creates packaging that distinguishes new products and provides superior operation and true consumer value,” said Kleiman.
The 2008 Challenge winner was Andrea Frayser, President of Ande Cosmetics, a company that specializes in all-natural products that promote skin cleansing, balance and toning. “The Rexam dispenser was the inspiration for our formula,” Frayser said. “We learned that the Challenge is a great opportunity to compete as equals and gain international recognition.”
