Rexam chosen to create new disposable, single-use baby bottle

Buffalo Grove, Suresnes, February 4, 2009-WorldPressOnline First Call -UK-based Steribottle has teamed with Rexam for the development and manufacture of its new MK3, the worlds first 100 percent recyclable, rigid feeding, ready-to-use baby bottle.
Bisphenol A (BPA) free, lightweight and impact resistant, this convenient, ready to use, three-piece (overcap, bi-injected nipple and bottle) baby bottle is manufactured and fully packaged aseptically in Rexams new, dedicated, state-of-the-art clean room facility within its Buffalo Grove location, and shipped ready for distribution.
Rexam played a significant role in bringing this complex, innovative product to market. This included initial design development, project management and creating a manufacturing solution that required sophisticated machinery, automation and packaging, according to Thomas Schleicher, Vice President – Sales and Marketing, Rexam Home and Personal Care (HPC).
The result is a product that represents convenience, safety and value to consumers and appeals to retailers thanks to its efficient packaging format, which optimizes shelf space utilization.
