Enfocus will present its full suite of production and automation solutions at Grafitalia 2009, the leading graphic arts exhibition in Italy. On the Crossroads booth C13/D04 (hall 14), Enfocus will present its workflow solutions for maximizing productivity, quality and automation. Visitors are also invited to assist to live demonstrations of the PitStop and Switch product range, including the brand-new PitStop Extreme and PDF Standardizer. Grafitalia takes place at the Fiera Milano Exhibition Centre in Milan (Italy) from 24 till 28 March.

“In today’s competitive and time-sensitive market, it is more important then ever to enhance productivity and automate where possible, within the same quality level. Enfocus products bring a number of productivity advantages to the publishing process, including workflow automation using Switch and last-minute native PDF editing with the PitStop product line,” says David van Driessche, Director of Enfocus Marketing. “Italy is an important market for Enfocus. Together with our distributor, Technosolutions, Grafitalia is the ideal platform to inform printers, designers, agencies and publishers about our comprehensive tools and demonstrate the new PitStop Extreme and PDF Standardizer for the first time in Italy.”

Technosolutions has had a close cooperation with Enfocus for several years as distributor for the Italian market of all Enfocus products. “The Italian market is more and more adopting the PDF format as users realize the advantages it brings to the production process. The PitStop product family, especially PitStop Professional and PitStop Server, is received very well by the Italian printers, designers and publishers who are working every day with PDF files”, comments Vainer Gilioli, Product Manager Enfocus products at Technosolutions. “The Switch installations are steadily increasing as well. Our Grafitalia participation is an important opportunity to prove our commitment to the Italian market and further inform our users about the benefits of workflow automation and introduce the Crossroads concept”.

Crossroads Workflow Automation

Crossroads, an Enfocus initiative, is a community bringing together partners, customers and consultants around the Enfocus Switch automation solutions. Switch offers a seamless interface for products in publishing workflows, which benefit from streamlining workflows. As a result, this reduces manual intervention, effecting time-savings and error reduction, both increasingly important within print and production environments.

The Enfocus family of Switch products allows simple configuration and automation of the workflow to incorporate and link third-party applications. Crossroads allows Enfocus users to speed up the process of automating their workflows. The Crossroads community helps them to find a suitable solution for their problems.

“We encourage visitors to the show to visit Enfocus and our Crossroads partners to learn more about how easily common business processes can be automated for savings of time and money,” explains Mr. van Driessche. “Grafitalia gives us a golden opportunity to demonstrate how Enfocus and Crossroads partners can enhance the workflow options for the graphic arts and publishing market.”

On March 23, Enfocus will also host a Crossroads seminar in the Milan Artigianelli Graphics School.
On the Crossroads booth (C13/D04, Hall 14), Enfocus will present its solutions together with its partners callas, Elpical, Quite, Alwan, PerfectProof and the Italian distributor Technosolutions.

Product highlights

PitStop Extreme: Extreme power and productivity in the management of PDF workflows
PitStop Extreme, released in December 2008, is the latest addition to the Enfocus PitStop family of PDF editing tools. This high-efficiency stand-alone PDF editor has an intuitive user interface that is geared toward editing PDF files in the production environment, making it easy and safe to edit even complex files without the need for any additional software investments.

With the new PitStop Extreme, Enfocus users now have multiple choices for PDF editing. PitStop Professional allows PDF editing using the familiar environment of Adobe Acrobat, and PitStop Extreme comes with a complementary license for PitStop Professional allowing the convenience of editing from within Adobe Acrobat should that need arise. PitStop Extreme is standards-compliant, including PDF/X and the Ghent PDF Workgroup specifications.

Key benefits include:
