Konica Minolta Launches New A3 Color Printer for the Office

Wednesday 21. January 2009 - Konica Minolta Business Solutions U.S.A., Inc. (Konica Minolta), a leading provider of advanced imaging and networking technologies for the desktop to the print shop, today unveiled the magicolor 7450 II network printer, designed to handle from small to heavy traffic office environments with its outstanding image and color quality.

The new magicolor 7450 II boasts superior print speeds of 24.5 pages per minute (PPM), Gigabit Ethernet networking capability and duty cycles up to 120,000 impressions per month, while providing compatibility with Windows, Mac and Linux systems for demanding network environments.

The magicolor 7450 II handles up to 256 gsm paper (140 lb. index), as well as paper sizes from 3.55? x 5.5? to banner-sized paper (12.25? x 47.24?). Varied media types, including thick paper, labels and more, can be processed via the 250-sheet multipurpose feeder and the 100-sheet multi manual feed tray. The paper capacity can be increased to a maximum of 1,850 sheets. The robust printer features 9600 x 600 dpi-class resolution, and contone printing technology for high speed and high quality output.

As with all Konica Minolta printers that feature its proprietary Emperon print system, the magicolor 7450 II printer includes comprehensive and convenient PageScope printer management tools that make it easy for individuals to set up, monitor, and control print features.

In addition, the magicolor 7450 II printer features Konica Minolta smart calibration system ? enhanced Automatic Image Density Control (eAIDC) and exclusive Simitri Color Polymerized Toner. The magicolor 7450 II offers Pantone color tables, an ICC-based color matching system that provides automatic color control including support for Windows ICM and Apple ColorSync, standard press emulations such as SWOP, Commercial Press, Eurocolor, TOYO, DIC, SNAP, and standard RGB source profiles such as sRGB, Apple RGB, ColorMatch, Blue Adjust and Adobe RGB. Direct photo printing is available from PictBridge-compatible cameras.
