Goss International will showcase “New Ways for Print” at the 2009 GOA
Tuesday 20. January 2009 - Latin American focus coincides with installation of first new M-800 presses in region
At the 2009 Graphics of the Americas (GOA) show to be held February 26-28 in Miami, Goss International will highlight its differentiating web offset technologies and high level of workflow automation that bring new opportunities to printers and publishers.
The company will present the benefits of its wide range of web offset solutions for newspaper and commercial web production including cutting-edge technologies such as gapless blankets, pinless folders, Automatic Transfer technology and other workflow automation systems, as well as Goss Lifetime Support services.
In addition, special emphasis will be placed on products and technologies tailored for the Latin American market, including the best-selling single-width Goss Community SSC and Magnum 4 presses, and highly flexible Universal presses for newspaper and semi-commercial printing, 16-page M-500 and M-600 presses for commercial printing, as well as the new 4×4 Goss M-800 press and highly automated 24 to 96-page Sunday press series for both long and shorter run print applications.
Phil Burke, vice president of Goss International’s Latin America Sales organization, commented, “We have been extremely active in Latin America over the past two years, providing a broad range of technology options to suit any product format, run length or special requirements. As an example, we are installing multiple Sunday 3000 presses and finishing systems at Plural in Brazil and have successfully installed the first M-800 press at Imprenta Ajusco in Mexico City in 2008. The M-800 press offers printers a new solution to print up to 35,000, 32-page signatures per hour in collect mode or 70,000 16-page signatures in straight production. Also the new installation of a 20-unit Goss Community SSC press at Grupo Sinos has given this Brazilian newspaper printer and media company increased color capacity with coldset, heatset and UV printing capabilities.
“These are only a couple examples of how Goss technologies have given printers greater productivity and flexibility, thus creating new ways to print a wider range of products, generating more opportunities and revenue,” Burke continued.
Goss International’s Latin American sales organization is based in Miami and includes a strong sales and service network in Central and South America. Burke summarized, “We will be available to discuss our full range of newspaper and commercial web press and postpress solutions with you at GOA. Please visit us at booth #1132. Tell us your needs and our team will work with you to find the right solution to meet your challenges today and your long-term business goals.”
