Océ JetStream en route to UKs Polestar
Wednesday 07. January 2009 - Océ, an international leader in digital document management, today announced that Polestar has become the first company in the UK to order the Océ JetStream 2200 continuous color machine.
The system is currently being installed at Polestar Direct in the northern English city of Nottingham, forming the central part of a £4 million (approx. EUR 4 million) investment in digital technology for the company.
In addition, the investment program includes replacing another suppliers cutsheet machines currently producing work onto preprinted stocks. This enables Polestar, one of the worlds larger printing companies producing 42 million magazines and newspapers every week, to move to a white paper continuous feed system. Three existing Océ VarioStream 9210 continuous feed machines are being upgraded to provide improved output and performance. One is being converted to an Océ VarioStream 9240 to handle full color production. The order also includes a new Océ VarioPrint 5160 sheetfed printer.

Its also another example of where Océ is leading the industry by taking color printing beyond the ordinary.”
