Senefelder Misset, Part of the Roto Smeets Group, Selects QuadTechs New SpectralCam Technology for the Future
Monday 29. December 2008 - Senefelder Misset, one of Hollands most prestigious commercial printers, and GMIs largest European customer, has chosen QuadTechs new SpectralCam color control technology for their new installations in 2009. Prior to this decision, Senefelder Misset had used the ColorQuick from GMI.
This purchase demonstrates Senefelder Misset understands the importance of providing customers high quality color and L*a*b* measurements, while improving pressroom efficiencies. SpectralCam was one of QuadTechs featured new products at Drupa 2008 in Düsseldorf, Germany.
The SpectralCam scanner delivers accurate L*a*b* and Densitometric measurements from micro-colorbars as small as 1.6mm high. A significant upgrade from Senefelders existing systems and unlike traditional point-source sensors used by many printers, the SpectralCam can capture 10-15 patches with a single snap of the camera. This enables the QuadTech Color Control System to make quick and accurate ink-key adjustments for excellent color consistency and overall efficiency throughout a press run.
“Senefelder Misset has a long history of providing excellent products and services and delivering them to customers efficiently and effectively,” said Karl Fritchen, president of QuadTech. “SpectralCam will help them not only build upon their reputation for excellence, but exceed the expectations of their customers on every print run.”
With SpectralCam, QuadTech offers the only inline color control system to provide both L*a*b* and Instrument Flight gray balance control. By combining the new SpectralCam sensor technology and the new Data Central Colorimetric Reporting option, users are able to accurately measure and verify L*a*b*, TVI and other critical print data, which provides printers the ability to easily monitor the consistency of their process and document compliance to ISO 12647-2 and other print industry standards.
