Germanys Best Planographic Printer: From Offenbach
Wednesday 17. December 2008 - Christoph Stecher achieves best grades in national IHK exams
The Deutsche Industrie- und Handelskammertag e. V. (DIHK – Association of German Chambers of Industry and Commerce) recently honored manroland apprentice Christoph Stecher for his top performance in the final IHK exams for printers in the branch of planography. Scoring 96 out of 100 points, Christoph Stecher pulled off the best result in this apprenticeable trade, securing himself the award as best on a national scale.
The 24-year-old completed his printers training at manroland in the companys Offenbach Print Technology Center. Doing exceedingly well, he was able to reduce his training period from three to two-and-a-half years. “It was great fun for me to work in a team, and I always enjoyed going there,” says the technology buff and up-and-coming press operator who likes it best to work on the technologically groundbreaking ROLAND 700 DirectDrive sheetfed press. “The technical equipment of the Print Technology Center is top-notch, and the colleagues and my instructor Volker Trageser are great to be with.”
Since the 2008 summer semester, Christoph Stecher has been studying Print Media Management at the Media Academy in Stuttgart, Germany. “Christoph Stecher is a talented young man with a perspective, one who has completed an outstanding training in the shortest of time”, comments Albrecht Völz, in charge of the Training Center. “It is gratifying for us to see that he has been able to develop his potential as thoroughly as he has been during his training at manroland. We wish him the same measure of success in his further studies and look forward to having him with us again for accompanying training courses on our premises.”
