SUN llc: NANOspurt at Moscow Forum

Monday 15. December 2008 - The First International Forum on Nanotechnologies is over. More than 7000 visitors attended the Forum within 3 days. More than 1100 representatives of the government authorities, world nanoindustry, entrepreneurs and scientists from 33 countries made reports and presentations within the Forum framework. More than 160 leading world scientists were among the reporters.

An exhibition of the advanced nanotechnological developments was held during the Forum at the territory of ExpoCenter, where the projects of 80 Russian and foreign companies and organizations were displayed. Boris Gryzlov, Speaker of the Russian Federation State Duma visited the exhibition on the day of its closing. Together with Anatoly Chubais RUSNANO General Director they attended the collective booth of SUN llc and Administration of Novosibirsk region.

The event was very saturated and positive. NEO UV-LED Evolution printed with nanoink on different substrates: glass, plastic, ceramic tile, wood. From the very beginning all the visitors from businessman to scientists were interested in our products. We got good comments on quality of printing and commercial effectiveness. For many entrepreneurs SUN’s project is like a golden opportunity – investment that gives good profit. Every of them require reliable, high-performance production equipment to develop their business successfully. For us RUSNANOTECH was the only place to meet key decision makers and researchers from different fields in shortest time. During 3 days we communicated a lot with scientists on implementation and integration of the latest technologies. We found some useful contacts -institutes and organization we are going to cooperate with in the field of research and creation of special inks (as ex: ink for glass printing).

Mass media that covered the event paid special attention to SUN llc. It was not surprising for us because we were the only company to demonstrate such unique machine. Also we got invitations for participation in largenumber of nonspecialized exhibitions.

The main result of the Forum is bridging for integration between science and business as well as forming the Russian nanotechnological community. The Forum was important for both sides: scientists gained a better understanding of the projects entrepreneurs are interesting in and business community got an insight into advanced scientific and technical developments and could evaluate the perspectives of their commercialization.
