Kodak Board Elects Taber Vice President, Wylie Assistant Secretary
Friday 12. December 2008 - Eastman Kodak Company (NYSE:EK) announced today that its Board of Directors has elected Terry R. Taber as a Vice President of the company. The Board also elected Susan Wylie as Assistant Secretary, reporting to Laurence L. Hickey, Corporate Secretary and Chief Governance Officer. Both elections are effective immediately.
Taber, 54, was recently promoted to Chief Technical Officer, a position he will assume on January 1, 2009, reporting to Kodak Chairman and CEO Antonio M. Perez. Taber, who joined Kodak in 1980, is currently the Chief Operating Officer of Kodaks Image Sensor Solutions (ISS) business, a leading developer of advanced CCD and CMOS sensors serving imaging and industrial markets. Prior to joining ISS almost two years ago, he held a series of senior positions in Kodaks research and development and product organizations.
During his 28 years at Kodak, Taber has been involved in new materials research, product development and commercialization, manufacturing, and executive positions in R&D and business management.
Taber received a B.S. degree in Chemistry from Purdue University and a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the California Institute of Technology. He also received an M.S. in General Management from MIT as a Kodak Sloan Fellow.
Wylie, 43, succeeds Patrick M. Sheller, 47, who held the post of Assistant Secretary for two years and is now joining the Corporate, Business and Regulatory Legal staff on a developmental assignment, reporting to Sharon E. Underberg, Assistant General Counsel. Sheller will retain his role as Chief Compliance Officer, reporting to Joyce P. Haag, General Counsel and Senior Vice President, Eastman Kodak Company.
Wylie was previously Chief Counsel for Kodaks Graphic Communications Group. In that role, she was responsible for the overall management and coordination of commercial legal work in support of worldwide business operations, supervising and coordinating legal matters based in the United States and internationally, and providing counsel on business development and strategies.
Wylie joined Kodak in 1999 as a lawyer in Kodaks Consumer and Professional Imaging business. In January 2004, she was appointed Lead Attorney in Kodaks Health Group and Kodaks Entertainment Imaging business in the Europe, Africa and Middle East Region (EAMER). In May 2005, Wylie went on a one-year assignment as the General Counsel and Director of Public Affairs in EAMER.
Prior to joining Kodak, Wylie was a partner with Buchanan Ingersoll Professional Corporation in Pittsburgh, P.A. Wylie earned a B.A. in Architecture from Princeton University and received her J.D. from the University of Notre Dame.
