RR Donnelley Announces New Question and Answer Module for Venue(SM) Virtual Data Room

R.R. Donnelley & Sons Company (NYSE:RRD) today announced a major enhancement to Venue, its virtual data room solution. Launched in January 2008 as part of RR Donnelley’s comprehensive Financial Services offering, Venue has been used by thousands of legal and financial services professionals for the secure storage of millions of pages of documents. This new Question & Answer module enhances Venue by providing an end-to-end solution to facilitate structured communication between the parties in a deal.

Venue Q&A combines industry best practices with a number of first-to-market innovations. The module provides a complete workflow solution, giving the designated Project Administrator total control over the entire process. Depending on their role in Venue, users will see only the Q&A features to which they have been given access. The ability to establish multiple control points in the workflow ensures questions are routed to the appropriate expert and the ability to tie a question to a document stored in Venue reduces duplicate questions from different buyer groups. The module was designed with a focus on flexibility – it can be configured to meet the unique needs of any deal.
