Print Team upgrades its cutting with a Polar 78X
Thursday 11. December 2008 - "You dont always look at it and yet you rely on it," says Chris Smith, director of Print Team in Portland about the companys guillotine. And so prompted by a call from Heidelberg the company is replacing a Polar 66 with a larger format and faster Polar 78X. The guillotine will be delivered by the end of the year.
The 11 year old Polar 66 has been trouble free and so it was almost inevitable that any replacement would be another Polar machine. The robust build and reliability of the equipment and service support of Heidelberg are convincing for the company.
“We bought a new press last Christmas so we need a bigger, better and faster guillotine to keep pace,” says Mr Smith. “We want to continue investing to be in good shape because were passionate about print and fulfil our customers changing needs.”
The larger format will be especially helpful for the B3 printer when buying paper or boards that need to be cut down. The company handles a broad range of work including stationery, greetings cards and advertising and promotional work. Its guillotine is in constant use.
