Cowan Print gives his company an early Christmas present
Thursday 04. December 2008 - Cowan Print is installing a Polar 78X with extended air tables to make the handling quicker and easier. "This is the last spend this year except for presents for my kids," says managing director Craig Cowan.
The company, which is based in Kilsyth near Glasgow, decided to replace a 76cm wide Polar guillotine as it reached its 21st year because having bought a Suprasetter and a Speedmaster SM 52-4 it needed additional cutting capacity to keep up.
“It was inevitable we chose Polar. They are very reliable machines,” says Mr Cowan.
“We are finding business ok, weve been kept busy. To date the only impact the credit crunch has had is to make some companies pay more slowly.”
Cowan Print is a family run business opened in 1987 and moved 14 months ago into a single factory unit.
