Q.I.Press Controls opens new office in Malaysia
Tuesday 02. December 2008 - Donny Lim joined as Managing Director
“Our philosophy is to be present at strategic locations throughout the world. The South East Asian market was serviced from Australia however due to an increased number of installations we are opening our 11th office to better serve this region..” states Menno Jansen chairman of Q.I. Press Controls. “Given the current economic situation, the demand for efficiency-improving equipment in the printing industry is greater than ever. The use of colour continues to increase and quality requirements become ever more demanding. Q.I. Press Controls is responding to this!” Menno Jansen continues. “Additionally South East Asian business is done on the basis of good working and personal relationships, further justifying our decision for a regional local sales and service centre. Local support was a key factor why The New Straits Times Press, one of the most distinguished printing houses in Malaysia, invested in Q.I. Press Controls solution. This gives proof of our decision”.
“We are glad that Donny Lim has joined us as Managing Director of our new office in Malaysia. He will be working in the South East Asian market which includes Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Indonesia, the Philippines and other countries in this area. Donny has ample experience in developing new markets and investigating the needs of specific markets. This and his enthusiastic character is exactly what we need,” states Menno Jansen. “He has already mastered all the application and system performance details of Q.I. Press Controls by undergoing a comprehensive training programme.”
Donny Lim (37) studied for a Diploma in Technical Engineering, and is currently studying for an MBA in business administration and management. Previously, he gained his work experience in leading positions with multinationals. “I have worked in all different fields and that is what challenges me: getting to know new products, new markets and building new relationships,” says Donny Lim. “I am ready,” he concludes with a smile.
