Pitney Bowes Group 1 Software To Speak with Other Industry Leaders at Technology Leadership Summit in New York

Pitney Bowes Group 1 Software today announced it will work with Microsoft at the Technology Leadership Summit, “Emerging Connections,” Wednesday, November 5, 2008 from 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. at the American Conference Center in New York City. The event is co-sponsored by both companies and will feature a keynote address from Gartner Research Director Pete Basiliere.
Business leaders are finding new ways to increase ROI on existing technologies to cut costs, improve control and strengthen the overall customer experience. Experts from Gartner, Pitney Bowes Group 1 Software and Microsoft will offer insight into the emerging trends, top strategies and proven applications that can make a difference in business. In his keynote presentation, “Dynamic Multi-Channel Communication,” Basiliere will address how companies expect CIOs to deliver solutions that make a difference to their business strategies, and how IT can enable the dynamic, multi-channel campaigns that will grow an enterprise.

Pitney Bowes Group 1 Software recently announced support for Microsoft SQL Server 2008. Enterprise customers utilizing Microsoft SQL Server 2008 as their data platform and Pitney Bowes Group 1 Softwares new Communications Intelligence (CI) Platform can make the two products work together for a great user experience, including address and mail management. The CI Platform optimizes client-customer communications throughout the mailstream while improving business efficiencies.
Pitney Bowes was named a finalist in Microsofts Global ISV Technology Innovation Partner of the Year Special Recognition Award. Pitney Bowes Group 1 Software will continue working with Microsoft to deliver solutions that have a major impact on mutual customers operations.

Pete Basiliere is Gartners research director for print markets and management, conducting research and providing advice on best practices, market strategies and technology trends. Basiliere assists technology providers and end users with practical insight relating to Gartner’s Automated Document Factory 2.0, trans-promo and customer relationship management printing strategies, and operations and security matters.
Basiliere has 30 years of industry experience, including roles as operations manager for Liberty Mutual Insurance Company, purchasing manager for PVA-EPVA, and engineering manager for NEBS. The National Association for Print Leadership (NAPL) published his two books: Diversifying with Mail and Fulfillment Services: Unlocking Hidden Profit Potential and Successful Print Buying: A Guide to the Cost-Effective Procurement of Printing.
