Fujifilm Introduces Enhanced Taskero Universe 2.0
Wednesday 29. October 2008 - New Web-based Print Performance Process Control Solution Improves Print Production
FUJIFILM Graphic Systems U.S.A., Inc. announced today a new version its monitoring and process control tool. Taskero Universe 2.0 is a process-based business solution that increases profitability and reduces waste. Taskero Universe is a suite of performance analysis tools designed to give printers ultimate quality control and now features a new pressroom interface with X-Rites IntelliTrax as well as improved user management features and new branding capabilities of its unique web site product.
Currently consisting of three components – ColorPath Verified, Server Performance Management and Hardware Performance Management – Taskero Universe 2.0 provides quality analysis, production trending as well as real-time information on the status of jobs, prepress devices and their performance, as well as on the status of the pressroom, helping printers minimize costly remakes and downtime.
The new version sports a newly developed unique web interface and enhanced user administration, making it more user-friendly and a powerful tool for plant and operations managers.
Taskero Universes ColorPath Verified component is Internet-driven and gives users the ability to communicate, control and confirm color across a number of devices, including monitors, inkjet and digital halftone proofers, CTP devices as well as both conventional and digital printing presses. This product enables users, both locally and remotely, to verify output of their devices by reading and validating a printed calibration strip, which provides immediate feedback on the status of the device and its conformance with an established target. It also gives users an enhanced ability to control and manage color.
Taskero Universe alerts users of system errors, and output variance on monitored devices. Users may also seek assistance in a live chat window, operated and staffed by Fujifilm color technicians or initiate an on-site service call.
ColorPath Verified also securely maintains all records and tracks data, providing important benchmarks and identifying trends that can affect color, allowing clients real time information and reports. Users have full access to their complete history of records and data via the Internet, which is housed at an offsite Web location. With that access, users can generate a variety of reports and important ROI information.
Taskero Universe also features a Server Performance Management module that ensures each customers server is performing properly and running efficiently. Fujifilm has partnered with industry-leading manufacturers to create a proactive solution aimed at optimizing server performance.
In addition, Taskero Universe monitors both hardware and the environment and gives users early notification of possible plating problems, enabling them to take action before the problem unexpectedly stops production. The goal is to streamline the production process from the server room all the way to the pressroom.
Taskero Universe 2.0 will be running live throughout Graph Expo 2008 at various booths, including Fujifilm (#4404), CGS Publishing Technologies (#4235), Komori (#619), TECHKON USA (#5535), Xerox (#1219) and X-Rite, Inc. (#5214).
